  • 2 LB BROCCOLI
  • 2 TBSP UNSALTED BUTTER
  • 1/4 CUP FLOUR
  • 2 CUPS MILK
  • 1/2 SMALL ONION SLICED.
  • 1 BAY LEAF
  • 1 CUP GRATED GRUYERE CHEESE
  • FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER TO TASTE
  • 1 CUP PANKO
  • 1/4 CUP PARMIGIANO-REGGIANO
  • 2 TBSP OLIVE OIL

Step 1

COOK BROCCOLI
IN 10 INCH PAN MELT BUTTER. ADD THE FLOUR AND STIR UNTIL WELL INCORPORATED AND FRAGRANT. WHIKS IN MILK AND BRING TO A BOIL. REDUCE HEAT, ADDONION AND BAY LEAF, SIMMER UNTIL MIXTURE THICKENS. REMOVE AND DISCARD BAY LEAF. ADD THE GRUYERE STIRRING UNTIL THE CHEESE IS MELTED. SEASON. CAREFULLY FOLD IN THE BROCCOLI AND SPREAD IN AN EVEN LAYER.

STIR TOGETHER PANKO, PARMESAN AND OLIVE OIL, SALT AND PEPPER. SPRINKLE OVER BROCCOLI MIXTURE.

BAKE 40 TO 45 MINUTES - 350 DEGREES
