Hot Bacon Dressing

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 rounded Tbs. flour
  • 1 rounded Tbs. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. milk
  • vinegar to taste (2-3 Tbs.)

Preparation

Step 1

Dice bacon and fry in large frying pan until crisp.

Meanwhile; mix egg, flour, sugar and salt in a quart size bowl until smooth. Add milk and mix until smooth.

Drain excess fat from bacon except 2-3 Tbs.

Stir milk mixture briskly into hot bacon and drippings. Cook and stir constantly until slightly thickened.

Serve hot over favorite greens (traditionally served over dandelion or iceberg lettuce wedges)
