Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1 package yeast
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 tsp. Salt

Preparation
Step 1
Scald milk and cool to lukewarm. Add ½ cup sugar and yeast; let stand 10 minutes.
Pour in melted shortening and eggs that have been beaten. Stir in mashed potatoes and salt.
Blend in flour to make stiff dough. Let rise, cut down dough; let rise again. Shape.
Can be used for cut out doughnuts, buns or crescent rolls. We made kolaches – cut out like a doughnut with the middle left in and let raise then indent middle and put in favorite jelly YUM!
Bake at 350 for 15-20 min.
