Grandma Shirley’s BBQ Ribs

By

Baked Macaroni & Cheese would make a great side!

Ingredients

  • Package of Ribs
  • 1/2 Bottle of Beer
  • Bottle of BBQ Sauce (highly recommend Texas BBQ Sauce brand)
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Garlic Salt
  • Butter

Preparation

Step 1

Bring ½ water and ½ bottle of beer to a boil. Boil Ribs for 15 minutes. While ribs are boiling, butter (or use Pam-- but that isn’t very southern!) the bottom of your baking dish. Once the ribs are done boiling (they will turn an ugly brown color, that is supposed to happen), place them in a baking dish.

Salt and pepper to taste, add garlic salt too and make sure you cover both sides of the ribs.

Pour your BBQ sauce all over the ribs and again, make sure both sides are covered with it.

Place in the oven for 1 hour on 325 degrees. After 45 minutes, check your ribs, they could be done, so you should cover them with tin foil for the remaining 15 minutes.
Serve with extra BBQ sauce!
