Classic Christmas Tree Gingerbread Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 package of butterscotch pudding mix
  • 3/4 C. brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 C. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbs. ground ginger
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend pudding batter with sugar and butter. Add egg. Mix well. Combine flour, ginger, cinnamon and baking soda with pudding mixture. Roll dough on floured board and cut with tree-shaped cookie cutters. Bake for 10-12 minutes. When done, cool cookies before adding decorations.
