Ingredients

  • 21/2 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 3 tbsp sugar

Preparation

Step 1

preheat 350 degrees
sift flour all purpose flour, ginger, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt.

beat butter and 3/4 cup with mixer. add egg, water and molasses. Gradually stir in flour mixture until incorporated. roll dough into walnut size balls and place on baking sheet.

bake in preheated oven until golden brown 8 to 10 min
