Ingredients
- 2 lbs. sirloin steak
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or garlic salt
- 1/4 tsp. ginger
- 2 green peppers, sliced
- 1 1/2 to 2 tbs. cornstarch
- 1 tbs. sugar
- 2 tbs. soy sauce
- 2 cans red pack tomatoes
Preparation
Step 1
Trim fat from meat. Cut meat into strips. Heat oil. Brown meat. Add onion, garlic, and ginger and canned tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add green pepper. Cook another 5 minutes. Mix together soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Add to meat mixture. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes longer. Serve with rice.
