Ingredients
- ¾ C. peanut butter
- ½ C. all-vegetable shortening
- 1 ¼ C. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 T. milk
- 1 T. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 ¾ C. all-purpose flour
- ¾ tsp. salt
- ¾ tsp. baking soda
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Add egg. Beat just until blended. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture at low speed. Mix just until blended. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie baking sheet. Flatten slightly. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until set and just beginning to brown. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet.
