Ingredients

    lb ground sausage

  • 1

    lb ground beef

  • 1

    med onion, chopped

  • 3

    celery ribs, chopped

  • 3

    garlic cloves, minced

  • 3

    cans diced tomatoes, with green peppers and onion

  • 2

    cans 16 oz each kidney beans, rinsed and drained

  • 1

    can beef broth

  • 1

    can 6 oz tomato paste

  • 2

    tbs brown sugar

  • 2

    tbs chili powder

  • 1

    tbs worcestershire sauce

  • 2

    tsp ground cumin

  • 1/2

    tsp crushed red pepper flakes

  • Cheddar Cheese optional

Directions

Coos sausage and ground beef in lrg saucepan over med heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Add onion, celery, and garlic. Cook and stir for 5 mins or until tender. Stir in tomatoes, beans, broth, tomato paste, brown sugar, chili powder, worcestershire sauce, cumin and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20 mins. add cheese before serving, if you like
