Ingredients
- Frosting:
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 4 cups 10X powdered sugar
- 1/3 to 1/2 cup milk
- Toppings:
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tsp shortening

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 15" x 10" x 1" baking pan.
In a mixing bowl, beat peanut butter, shortening and brown sugar until creamy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl, then gradually add to creamed mixture and mix until combined. Add milk and mix well. Transfer to prepared baking sheet and smooth the top. Bake for 16-20 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack.
For frosting: In a mixing bowl, cream peanut butter and shortening, then beat in powdered sugar. Gradually beat in enough milk to achieve spreading consistency. Frost cooled bars.
Topping: Melt chocolate chips and shortening, stir until smooth. Drizzle over frosted bars.
Note: Cut the bars before frosting them, but leave them together. Frost them as one and then separate with a spatula.
