Frosting Vanilla (Cake Boss)

Makes 4 cups . . . enough for one 9" cake or 24 cupcakes.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 C Unsalted Butter, room temp
  • 5 C Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tbs Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 3 Tbs lukewarm water.

Preparation

Step 1

In a stand mixer with paddle attachment, beat butter until smooth with no lumps. With mixer running, add sugar, 1 cup at a time after each cup has been integrated.

Stop mixer and add salt and vanilla. Paddle on low-medium speed for about 2 minutes, until smooth. Add water and continue to mix until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
