Ingredients
- Egg whites, 2
- Sugar, 1 1/2 C
- Water, 5 T
- Corn syrup, light, 1 1/2 t
- Vanilla, 1 t
Preparation
Step 1
Put water, salt, sugar, corn syrup, and un-beaten egg whites into top of double boiler. Blend with rotary hand beater. Have water boiling rapidly in bottom of double boiler, but water should not touch the top part.
Place top part over boiling water. Beat constantly with beater for about 7 minutes. If electric mixer is used at high speed, it takes about 3 minutes. The frosting should stand in stiff peaks and cling to the beater. Remove from water. Add vanilla and continue beating only until thick enough to spread.
