Cream Cheese Danish

Uses crescent rolls.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 2 packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • almonds or pecans

Preparation

Step 1

Grease 9 x 13 baking dish. Unroll one can of rolls and press into bottom of dish, easing dough up the side.

Combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and egg and spread over dough.

Unroll second can of crescent rolls and place on top of cream cheese mixture. Seal edges and perforations. Mix butter, sugar, cinnamon and nuts together. Spread on top of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
