Ingredients
- 2 c. diced can tomatoes
- 2 c. tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1/2 c. green pepper
- 2 minced garlic cloves
- 1/4 c. chopped parsley
- 1 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 1/2 tsp. Paula Deen House Seasoning OR 4:1 salt, garlic powder, and pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 2 small bay leaves
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 8 oz. angel hair, cooked
- 1 c. grated Cheddar
- 1 c. Monterey Jack
Preparation
Step 1
Combine tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, onions, peppers, garlic, parsley, seasonings, sugar, and bay leaves. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 1 hours.
Cook ground beef; add to sauce, and simmer 20 more minutes. Layer in 13x9x2" pan, starting and ending with sauce. (Reserve a little cheese.)
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with remaining cheese and bake for about 5 more minutes.
