Triple Layer Cookie Bars

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 1-1/4 C flour
  • 2/3 C sugar
  • 1/3 C baking cocoa
  • 1/4 C brown sugar
  • 1 t baking powder
  • 1/4 t salt
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Topping:
  • 1 pkg (7 oz) flaked coconut
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • Frosting:
  • 2 C (12 oz) chocolate chips
  • 1/2 C creamy peanut butter

Preparation

Step 1

Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add eggs; mix well. Spread in greased 13x9 pan. Bake @350 for 8 minutes. Sprinkle coconut on top. Drizzle sweetened condensed milk evenly over coconut. Return to oven for 20-25 minutes or til lightly browned.
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter, stirring until smooth. Spread over bars. Cool.
