Ingredients

  • 1 lb sliced beef (sirloin steak)
  • 1 cup mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 heaping tbs. Flour
  • 3 tbs. lard
  • 1 heaping tbs. tomato paste
  • 1 can beef consommé
  • 1 small container sour cream
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • 2 tbs. Cooking Sherry (optional)
  • ½ package of egg noodles

Step 1

Brown meat in lard add onion , garlic, and sliced mushrooms and continue to cook. Melt 3 tbs. Lard in a small frying pan, add flour to make rue, add salt and pepper to taste. Stir rue to make a paste add tomato paste and consommé. Cook until thick pour over beef mixture. Add half cup of water and sour cream. Cook over low heat for 30 min stirring occasionally. Add sherry and serve over cooked egg noodles.
