Pretzels.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of very warm water
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 tbs. sugar
  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1 egg
  • salt for top course

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the water and yeast well. Add the sugar and stir.
Add the flour (dough will become stiff and hard. Knead the dough for 5 minutes. Break the dough into pieces for ropes. Make snake ropes and shape into pretzel shapes on baking sheets. Beat an egg and brush on top. Sprinkle salt on and bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
