A really great desert for cocktail party. It is best brought to room temperature before serving for spreading on graham crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup powered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup of semi sweet or milk chocolate miniature chips or large chips broken in small pieces.
  • 1/4 cup small pecan or walnut pieces (if desired)
  • Graham crackers for people to spread the cheese on.

Preparation

Step 1

Bring cream cheese and butter to room temperature. Mix cheese, butter, and vanilla on high speed until fluffy. Add brown sugar. Add powered sugar slowly and mix on low speed until completely incorporated. Stir in miniature chocolate chips. Stir in nuts (if desired). Refrigerate overnight.

You can turn this into a ball and roll into crushed nuts if you want surrounded by the graham crackers, but I like to dish out on a plate with graham crackers. Either way, it is best to bring close to room temperature prior to serving.
