Ingredients
- Nonstick aluminum foil
- 1 semi-boneless fully cooked ham half (6–8 lb)
- 2 (5-oz) jars pecan (or walnut) sundae topping
Preparation
Step 1
1.Preheat oven to 350°F. Line roasting pan with foil; place ham on rack in roasting pan (wash hands).
2.Cover ham with foil, sealing tightly around edges of baking pan. Bake about 2 hours (figure 20 minutes per pound).
3.Place sundae topping in food processor bowl; process until finely chopped and a paste forms. Remove foil from ham; coat ham with nut mixture.
4.Bake ham 15–25 more minutes to brown and caramelize outside of ham. Internal temperature at center of ham should be 140°F. Carve ham and serve. NOTE: Promptly refrigerate unused portions.
