SPICED HOLIDAY NUTS

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. powdered ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cups almonds, pecans, or mixed nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Mix dry ingredients together. Set aside. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over low heat. Add spices and stir well. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes. Place nuts in a bowl. Top with oil/spice mixture. Mix well.

Spread nuts on cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes. Place in another bowl. Sprinkle with more garlic salt (optional). Let rest for 2 hours. Store in airtight jar.
