Pudding - Vanilla Cornstarch

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbs cornstarch
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3/8 cup sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Scald 1 1/2 c milk. Mix cornstarch, salt, sugar and 1/4 c. milk to make a paste. Add scalded milk gradually until it boils and thickens. Place over boiling water, cover and cook 10 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
