Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/8 tsp salt
- butter
- 2 cups cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Unbaked 9" pie shell
- Nutmeg or cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
1 Mix sugar, cream, flour, vanilla and salt together thoroughly and pour into unbaked pie shell. Dot the top generously with butter and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.
2 Bake at 400° for 15 minutes, then at 325° for 45 minutes. It is wise to stir once or twice in the first half hour. The pie is done when the filling is shaky, but not runny.
