Ingredients

  • 9

    slices of white bread, crust cut off

  • 8

    eggs

  • 3

    cups of half & half

  • 1-1/2

    tsp of salt or seasoned salt

  • 1

    tsp ground mustard

  • 1

    lb sausage, mild or hot

  • 1

    cup of shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Cut crust off bread, layer in a 9 x 13 dish. Beat eggs, half & half, salt and ground mustard together. Pour slowly over bread. Brown & drain sausage, crumble over bread and egg mixture. Top with cheese. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Bake in 350 oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Or until set in center and browning on top.
