Ingredients

  • 2 Lb Extra Lean Ground Beef (3% if possible)
  • 2 Quarts plus 2 Cups Water
  • 2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
  • 4 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Yellow Mustard
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

Preparation

Step 1

Place ground beef in large pot and add 2 quarts water. Mix until all large lumps of ground beef have been broken down and bring mixture to a boil. Allow to boil until ground beef is cooked thoroughly, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and drain off all the water.


Return ground beef to pot, add 2 Cups water and all remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for a minimum of 1 1/2 hours. The longer you allow it to simmer, the better the flavors will combine.
