Ingredients
- 1 large onion, minced
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 T crushed red pepper flakes
- 2 16 oz. cans of tomatoes or 2 lbs. fresh tomatoes
- (for canned tomatoes add one small grated carrot)
- 16 ounces of Penne pasta
- Parmesan or Romano cheese
Preparation
Step 1
Cook pasta until cooked al dente, firm to the bite
Brown onion & cloves in olive oil - golden color
add red pepper flakes and tomatoes and carrot
Cook over low heat for 2 hours.
Cover noodles with sauce and grated parmesan or Romano cheese
