Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup shortening
- 2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 4 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 2 teaspoon ginger

Preparation
Step 1
Cream shortening and baking soda until smooth.
Add egg and molasses and blend well. Sift dry ingredients together and add it one cup at a time. Roll dough into balls the size of a measured 1/2 teaspoon of dough. Roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
