ITALIAN COOKIES

Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour, sugar and baking powder.

Cut in shortening until pieces are size of small peas.

Stir eggs, milk, vanilla, and almond extract until soft dough is formed.

Break dough into pieces and roll each piece between palms of hands to form elongated oval shape.

Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
