Ingredients
- 1 quart vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup half-and-half or whole milk
- 1 vanilla bean, halved lengthwise
- 4 purchased meringue cookies (optional)

Directions
In blender combine ice cream and half-and-half. With knife tip, scrape vanilla bean seeds into blender. Blend until smooth. Divide among four glasses; top with meringue cookies, if desired.
Makes 4 (1 1/4 cup) servings.
