Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups milk
- 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 1 tbsp butter
Preparation
Step 1
In saucepan blend together sugar, salt, cornstarch, and flour and gradually stir in milk until mixture is smooth.
Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil 2 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir a little hot mixture into egg yolks.
Add yolks to hot mixture slowly, stirring constantly.
Remve from heat.
Blend in butter and vanilla.
Cool 10 minutes.
Pour into crumb crust.
