Makes 12 tacos

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 can (8-oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

In 2-qt. casserole break up ground beef in very small chunks. Add onion, green pepper and garlic. Cover. Microwave at High (10) 5 to 6 Minutes, stirring after 3 minutes. Drain well.
Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, pepper, chili powder and salt. Cover. Microwave at High (10) 5 to 6 Minutes, stirring after 3 minutes.

Use meat to fill prebaked, packaged taco shells, filling about half full. Finish tacos by topping with 2 or 3 more of the following: shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes and chopped onions. Add hot sauce if desired.
