Ingredients
- 2 c. butter, softened
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 Tb. vanilla extract
- 3/4 c. finely chopped toasted almonds
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beating well. Add almonds, beating at low speed until blended. Gradually add flour, beating well. Cover, and chill for 1 hour. Shape dough into 1 1/2" balls and then into crescent shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes. Immediately remove cookies to sheets of waxed paper. Sift powdered sugar generously over cookies. Allow to cool.
