Easy Broccoli Prep

Ingredients

  • Several crowns of broccoli
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar

Step 1

Cut florets into 1/2 in pieces. Heat olive oil, garlic and red pepper in a large skillet over medium-low heat until the oil smells good andt the garlic is just beginning to color. Add broccoli and cook, stirring occasionally, until the stems are nearly tender, about 2 min. Add lemon or vinegar at the end.

Also can boil broccoli: Boil water, add broccoli and bring back to boil. Cook 2-4 minutes (til tender but crisp). Drain and add olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and lemon or vinegar.
