Pizzelles

Ingredients

  • You need a pizzelle iron to make these cookies
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup margerine or butter ,melted(2 sticks)
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tbsp of annizette or any other flavor (almond extract, anise extract , etc)
  • 1 Tbsp lemon extract
  • Confectioners' sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs,add sugar gradually until smooth.

Add melted margerine or butter, lemon extract and any flavoring that you decided to use.

Sift flour and baking powder and add to egg mixture,dough will be sticky enough to drop by tspfuls. It's best if you let the mixture stay for few minutes before making the pizzelles.

Spray pizzelle iron with pam spray.

Put tspful of batter on iron and close. count to 40 and open iron. If they are too light or too dark adjust your timing accordingly.

When cool sprinkle with Confectioners' sugar (as much as you like)
