Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/8 tsp cloves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- sanding sugar
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, ginger and cloves. Whisk in brown sugar. Stir in melted butter, molasses, milk and egg.
Roll 1 tbsp dough into a ball, then roll in sanding sugar and transfer to parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with rest of dough. Chill for 5 minutes. Flatten each ball with bottom of a glass. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool on wire racks completely.
