Raisin Sauce

  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup currant jelly
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • dash allspice
  • dash salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine raisins, water, currant jelly, orange peel, and orange juice in saucepan; bring to boil. Combine brown sugar, cornstarch, dash of allspice and salt; stir into orange mixture. Cook and stir till thick and bubbly.
