Ingredients
- pastry dough for a 9 inch double crust pie
- 1 pkg (16oz) mixed frozen berries, thawed,drained
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3 tbs cornstarch
- 2 tbs butter or margarine
Preparation
Step 1
1) preheat oven to 375. roll out pastry crust for bottom crust and line 9 inch pie plate. roll out pastry for top crust and set aside.
2) combine berries, sugar, and cornstarch in 2 qt batter bowl. pile fruit mixture into pie plate; dot with butter. cover with top crust; trim and flute edges. cut a few slits in top crust for steam to escape.
3) bake 40 minutes or until juice is bubbling and crust is browned. cool at room temperature.
