Sesame Ginger Sauce

This recipe works great as a marinade or as a sauce. This is a very flavorful sauce; a little goes a very long way. This is a great marinade for chicken, shrimp, tofu, tempeh, pork and beef. Or this can be a great sauce for your stir fry or even your favorite kabob recipe. If you use this as a marinade, the calories would be about half the calories that are listed.

Ingredients
- for 6:
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tblsp ginger fresh minced
- 1 tspn red pepper flakes (use less for less spice)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 1/2 tbsp brown sugar
- 6 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
- for 3:
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tblsp ginger fresh minced
- 1/2 tspn red pepper flakes (use less for less spice)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp +3/4 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
Preparation
Step 1
Heat small saute pan.
Add sesame oil.
Saute garlic and ginger
Then add brown sugar - stir frequently.
Finely add red pepper flakes and soy sauce.
Let sauce reduce just a little bit, then serve.
