Ingredients
- 1 cup organic unsalted butter
- 1 cup organic cane sugar
- 3 tablespoons water
- 1/2 - 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt (depending on your preference)
Preparation
Step 1
Place all ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil over a medium high heat, which should take about 5 minutes. Once it comes to a boil let it continue stirring occasionally for about 8 minutes or until the temperature reads in the 300-310 range on a candy thermometer and the color is a nice bronze but not too dark. Remove from the heat and immediately spread onto a silpat lined baking sheet. Allow to cool at least a half hour and then crack into pieces and enjoy.
