Chocolate Mint Squares

Ingredients

  • st layer:
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup flour
  • 16 oz. can Hershey's Choc. Syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Mix well and bake at 350 degrees for 25 min. in greased, floured 9x13" pan. Cool.
  • nd. layer:
  • 2 cups conf. sugar
  • 2 tbls. creme de menthe
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • Mix well like frosting, spread on cooled first layer. Let set.
  • rd. layer:
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (8 ozs.)
  • 6 tbls. margarine
  • Melt in a double boiler. Pour over green layer. Let it set. Cut while at room temp. When chocolate is too cool chocolate will creack when cut.
  • Keep refreigerated.

Remember not cut at room temp. and do not allow to get too cool.
