- 6-8 tbsp butter
- 6-7 whole cloves garlic, unpeeled
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, grated
- 1 loaf French bread sliced down in two

Soften butter. Meanwhile roast garlic with skins in small frying pan; turn frequently; let garlic get browned to blackened; take off heat and let cool. Grate Parmesan cheese. After garlic has cooled, peel off skins and mince. Mix together minced garlic, butter, cheese, and salt. Spread mixture on bread. Bake for 5 minutes in a 450 degree oven, then set oven to broil. Put bread about 4-6 inches from broiler for about 2-3 minutes; watch bread for slight browning. Slice and serve.
