Cherry Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 Duncan Hines Devil's Food cake mix
  • 21 oz. can cherry pie filling
  • 1 tsp. almond extract (may use vanilla)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 5 tbsp. butter
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 6 oz. chocolate chips

Preparation

Step 1

Prehead OVen to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour one 7 X 11 inch pan.
Combine cake mix, pie filling, almond extract and eggs and stir gently.
Pour into pan and bake 25-30 minutes (tooth pick comes out clean).
While cake is baking mix sugar, butter and milk in a sauce pan and bring to a boil and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. Cool while cake bakes.
When cake is done pour icing over top.
