Ingredients
- 5 pounds brisket
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups apple juice
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450.
Pierce brisket with fork on both sides and sprinkle with salt. Place in pan and cook, uncovered, about 1 hour. Degrease pan.
Combine apple juice, honey, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg and pour over roast. Cover pan and seal tightly. Reduce oven to 350 and cook for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
