Split Pea and Barley Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 pound soup bones or flanken
  • 2 cups split peas
  • 1 cup barley
  • 1 or 2 onions
  • 3 carrots -- sliced
  • 2 potatoes -- optional
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh dill
  • 2 or 3 parsnips -- cut up
  • Salt and pepper -- to tatste

Preparation

Step 1

Before shabbos, add all the ingredients in the crock pot. Add water to the top. Keep on low.
