Thumbprints

Thumbprint shortbread style cookies to be topped with your favorite jam or jelly. Also can be topped with chocolate kisses, chopped nuts or cherries

Ingredients

• 2 c flour
• 1 c butter
• 1/2 c sugar
• 2 egg yolks

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter, eggs and sugar. Slowly add flour.

Break off walnut sized pieces. Roll into a ball. Place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Flatten with your thumb to make a depression in the center.

Fill center with your choice: a tiny dollop of jam/jelly, nuts, half cherry, chocolate kiss
