Spicy Carrot Sticks

Ingredients

  • 6 large carrots -- peeled
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450. Line jelly roll pan with parchment paper.

Cut each carrot in half. Cut each half in half lengthwise. Cut each half in three equal strips to make carrot strips.

Place the egg white in bowl and whip with a fork until foamy.

In a large bowl, mix the olive oil, water, garlic powder, cumin, sugar, paprika and salt.

Place the carrot sticks into the egg white and then stir into the spice mixture. Arrange in single level on pan. Sprinkle with salt.

Roast uncovered for 20 minutes.
