Chicken- Carmelized Onion

Ingredients
- 2 chickens, cut into 8 pieces
- paprika
- garlic powder
- 6 Tablespoons margarine
- 3 onions, sliced into rings
- 2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- blanched almonds, toasted (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
place chicken paces skin side up in a pan and sprinkle with paprika and garlic powder
broil 7 min till golden brown
preheat oven to 350
heat margarine in a saucepan over medium heat. add onion and saute 15 min or until transluscent
reduce heat to low
add brown sugar and soy sauce, stirring until sugar dissolves
spoon sauce over chicken
cover with foil and bake 1 hour
sprinkle with toasted almonds
