Ingredients
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
- 1 Tbp lemon juice
- 2 Tbp butter
Preparation
Step 1
In the upper section of a double boiler over – not in – boiling water in the bottom section, place all ingredients except the butter. Cook and stir the ingredients until they are thickened.
A little at a time, add the butter, continuing to stir. Serve at once over vegetables like cauliflower, broccoli, or on an eggs Benedict.
