Ingredients
- 1 5-to7-pound brisket
- 1 teaspoon each granulated garlic, granulated onion and white pepper
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup fruit chutney (of choice)
- 1 1/2 cups Classic Coke (12 ounces)
- 2 cups water
- 2 large onions, chopped and diced
- 2 tablespoons oil
Preparation
Step 1
1. Rub brisket with dry seasonings.
2. Mix together the tomato sauce, chutney, Coke and water and add brisket to marinate overnight in refrigerator.
3. Saute the onions in the oil until clear, and place them on top of the brisket.
4. Cover and bake for 3 hours at 325 degrees or until tender.
5. Remove from marinade and slice; heat marinade and pour over the meat.
