Ingredients

  • 1 can or about 1/2 lb. Alaskan Crab, or lump crab or and type you can find.

  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
  • 2 tabsp. Mayonnaise
  • lemon juice about a tablespoon (if crab is fishy you may want to add more
  • curry powder - ? 1/2 teaspoon to start
  • Worcestershire sauce maybe about 1 teaspoon – or a few shakes
  • I add a few drops of tobasco ? (1/4 teaspoon)
  • Small amount of chopped onion
  • Grated Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Add lemon juice, curry powder and onion to taste. Add crab. Put in a shallow oven proof dish, top with Parmesan cheese and bake at 400 for about 30 minutes. (if you have other things in oven and need to set it at a different temp, just adjust the time. Serve with Triscuits.

Sorry about the amounts – it is sort of trial and error. You want a hint of curry but not to overwhelm the crab. When I first started making this they sold 8 oz packages of frozen crab which I found great. The 1 pound can you buy at the fish counter probably has more than you need.
