Rib Sauce, Emeril's

Used with a spice rub, this rib sauce will help make your ribs moist and tender.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Coarse salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 cup canned beef broth
- 3/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Preparation
Step 1
In a medium pan, over medium heat, pour in the oil, then add the onion and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Sauté until onions are translucent. Add the remaining ingredients , bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened, about 30 minutes.
Use alone or with Emeril's spice rub on pork ribs, beef ribs, pork tenderloin or pork loin roast.
